Fonzo Eugene Baker was man like no other.
A decorated Marine, MIT graduate, electronics creator, musician, and role model.
Great memories were made learning music while Grandpa played guitar—it ignited the love of music I still have to this day. When I was a child, I spent hours on end watching him design all kinds of crazy stuff in his basement. I always loved helping him solder and wire things together. I used to be particularly fascinated with tubes, as he was a expert in that field. His workshop looked like a mad scientist’s lab with all of the glowing tubes. It reminds me of a simpler and happier time in my life.
